Advent and Christmas at Saint Clement

Advent, the season of waiting and expecting, and Christmas, the Holy Feast of Jesus Christ's birth, is upon us! As we anticipate the arrival of Christmas in our daily life and work, we also prepare spiritually  through prayer and reflection. Both our Advent and Christmas Worship Schedule is outlined below. Please join us, as we anticipate the arrival of Christ and give thanks for his birth. 

 

Services are hosted Sunday mornings at 10:00AM. This year, we will have both a Christmas Eve service at 4:30PM and a Christmas Day service at 10:00AM. The worship schedule is below. Please join us: All are welcome!

Rite II with Spiritual Communion celebrated Sundays
 at 10:00AM

The First Sunday of Advent, November 27th: "Hope" 
Jesus Christ is Emmanuel, the hope of the peoples...

The Second Sunday of Advent, December 4th: "Preparation and Peace" 
John the Baptist spread word that Jesus was on his way...

The Third Sunday of Advent, December 11th: "Joy" 
I bring you good news that will bring joy to all people...

The Fourth Sunday of Advent, December 18th: "Love"  
May we relive the wonder of God's Love in our lives...

Christmas Services

Celebrated on Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day

Feast of the Nativity: Holy Eucharist and Family Service - December 24th at 4:30 PM
Holy Eucharist with a short sermon. Children are invited to bring an animal, angel, shepherd and / or member of the Holy Family to include in the manger scene near the altar. Children will lead the congregation in singing, "The Friendly Beasts," and the service will end in candlelight with the signing of Silent Night.  

Christmas Day Service with Holy Eucharist - December 25th at 10:00 AM
On Christmas Morning, all are welcome to gather and hear the Gospel, sing carols, and share in Holy Eucharist / Communion. Come and spend some time rejoicing with neighbors that Christ, the true light, has come again into our world to bring peace and love! Christmas PJs and holiday sweaters are appropriate garb for this service :)
